The power trio JUD formed in 1994 in Los Angeles California when David Judson Clemmons joined forces with long time Virginia friends Steve Cordrey and David “Hoss” Wright.  JUD was a force of nature born out of a quest for musical creativity outside of the LA trends. JUD was and remains an honest mirror of reality, vast diversity rooted in Prog & Metal. The band landed a deal in Berlin on Noisolution Records after playing for producer Matthias Schneeberger while playing the LA club circuit 1994-95, and since has released 6 full length albums plus various singles and samplers on Noisolution from 1996-2016.

The JUD sound is unique, Guitar driven, percussive, melodic, extremely dynamic and full of climatic “goose bump moments” and at times absolute chaos. David’s guitar and charasmatic voice pulls the listener in, and has earned a solid base of fans worldwide.

After the tour supporting the 4th JUD album “The Perfect Life” in  2000 David moved to Berlin, where he continued working on JUD among other side projects, continously blessed with his growing musical collaborators James Schmidt, Jan Hampicke, Anne de Wolff, Bjoern Werra, Oliver Grauer.

1996 “Something Better” JUD’s debut album was recorded in Los Angeles, produced by Matthias Schneeberger, with additional tracks produced by Ross Robinson. Following albums Innermission (1997) Chasing California (1998) The Perfect Life (2000) and Sufferboy (2008) leading up to current Generation Vulture (2016) recorded Analog in Berlin, Germany.

The latest release “Generation Vulture” is an epic collection of songs forged out of a society that seems to be eating itself alive. Generation Vulture features original members Steve Cordrey and David Clemmons, as well as James Schmidt, Jan Hampicke, and Anne de Wolff.
